About Me

My photo
Roughly 1/3 of a century old. I am a father of two, and a very lucky husband to my beautiful wife Jennifer. We are all very active, and love the outdoors. We camp, hike, and geocache as a family. we have 16 or so pets, ranging from a black widow to toads to snakes canines and everything in-between. We are active Catholics and attend mass regularly at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo Texas. My wife is very active in the Parish, and volunteers with our friends "The Sisters of Prayer Town" the Nuns of the order "Disciples of The Lord Jesus Christ". Jennifer has had Leukemia for about 6 years now, and has been kicking it's A$$. Now the time has come for a bone marrow transplant. Pray for us, and God Bless.

My wife received her 1st communion!!

Friday, March 25th 2011: Jennifer became a member of the Catholic Church. She is critically ill, and was received in a year ahead of her projected date. Father Arthur Rodriguez of St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral in Amarillo Preformed the Sacrament with her, at Northwest Texas Hospital in room 463.

She beat me to the Sacrament! I've been attending St. Mary's for 12 years, and in RCIA for 9. She has been attending with me for 4 years and been in RCIA for 1 year. We, along with our two children were due to take first communion together at Easter 2012.

May the Lord bless and keep her, and may his grace shine upon her. I, and all of our friends & family are praying that she be healed of her illnesses.

Thank you for any prayers
Stephen

Very interesting stuff. The man is quite impressive.

Jennifer & I are currently at the hospital. She's doing better, but quite weak. She's gonna do this!

The Great Commission: A Horde of iPhones... BEHOLD!

A special order via Aubry's Etsy account (http://www.etsy.com/shop/iluvjb) 32 iPhone plushies!!  for a lady julie gurano in New Orleans, LA. She is a member of some rather well known and extravagant float troupe known as "Krewe Of Muses" ( Krewe of Muses website )

They are made of felt, tarp and fabric, cotton, polyester, rayon and poly-fill stuffing.

This crew of "floatiers" has won multiple awards at several parades. this is the Big One, however. It is the FAT TUESDAY parade in the BIG EASY!!

Julie saw our work on Aubry's Etsy page and she decided to order pieces to use in construction of this years headdresses! these head pieces will be entered into competition and then finally given out during the parade. We are so very proud to participate in this event via our work.

We also made fair money! horray!

School & work get cancelled 2-9-11

I'm not complaining, but it was a little ridiculous to close everything for 4 inches of dry snow.

Once again, we decide to make the best of the time we are having:
Out and about at 11:00 am on Wednesday. It was so cold out, that my mustache instantly began to collect moisture from my breath and freeze. It would have been totally unbearable had there been even a slight breeze.

Jennifer is still in the hospital. Things are looking ok. She feels like crap, but she's tough. Her doctor said her liver function seems to be improving. We all miss her, and love her. Pray for her please.

No hills means no sledding? perhaps not...

This is how you get around the flat terrain in Texas, and still enjoy the snow:

"TINSTAAFL" even when you are a pampered pet.

This is what my 10 year old daughter made...

She had me find her the pattern on the web, resize it and print it. After that she was off to the races. She chose fabric from our bin, cut it out, and stitched it all by her self. I put the eyes on it for her, since she had never used plastic eyes before.

Pretty good for a lady her age. She is 10 right now, but will be 11 in less than a month. Thankfully she has a genuine interest in wholesome and productive hobbies and activities.

She's going to try to sell it on her Etsy shop.

Pretty cute...
